There are many guidelines and polices with IT systems withinorganisations which are going to be explained below. Disaster recovery, Codesof conduct and budget settings are just three which will be explained in moredetail.

Disaster RecoveryPolicies
Disaster recovery policies are put into place so that theright actions can be taken when a disaster was to occur these could be thingssuch as Fires, power failures, human error and computer viruses. So there arecertain policies which would be put into place such as backing up so that ifsomething was to happen at least there is a back up stored somewhere, but withdisaster recovery this would need to be externally stored so that the disasterwould not affect the back up. Another thing could be a back up network so thatif the network was to be shut down they can easily switch over to the backupnetwork so that users can still access their accounts and be able to access theirwork.
Updating SecurityProcedures and scheduling security Audits
Updating plays a big part within guidelines and policiesbecause it is always important to make sure that you have the best securityprograms and software when handling multiple users within an organisation. Thisis also put into place so that the IT support team can monitor where problemswill be taking place and also if something was to happen so that they can tryand prevent it before it happens. The policies with updating are that only the managersof the department of the IT team have permission to authorise the updates andalso in some cases download them. There is security systems put into place notjust for software there is also the extreme/physical security such as guards, retinal scanners and locks. These need to be updated by authorised people andfrequently so that people cannot gain ways of accessing places they are notallowed too.
Codes of Conduct
It is very rare that users such as an employee has completecontrol over what they go on and have access too, this is because it providesrisks of data being used an accessed without permission and also the risk ofobtaining a virus when someone is surfing the internet. It is also put in toplace to get rid of any distractions. So instead there is a code of conduct putinto place which so that if something was to happen due to the user, they wouldbe legally responsible for what they have caused. This would then make the useraware of this so that they are less likely to cause it. Certain things whichwould be found on a Code of Conduct would be things such as Email Usage,Internet usage, Software installation policy. The email usage policy would bethere so that emails would not be sent out to then obtain junk emails and alsoviruses, also this would forbid anyone from sending personal or threateningemails to other users. Internet usage is put into place so that it allows thechoice of what sites the user can and cannot go on, so for example Pornographicsites and betting sites would not be allowed and could result in seriousconsequences. Software installation policy is put into place so that the usercannot download and install software without permission because it would needto be authorised and checked before installing.
Surveillance andMonitoring Policies
Unit Fractions Calculator
With surveillance and monitoring the policy comes into placebecause the employees would have to be made known of this and of what thereasons are for having such a thing in place. They would need to know where theCCTV and monitoring equipment is. CCTV etc is put into place because the riskof theft and things occurring within a work place can happen and would need tobe kept an eye on. But the CCTV can onlybe used for monitoring purposes not for any other reason.

Risk Management
Risk management is a guideline which would be put into placeso that errors and problems can be spotted, monitored and prevented before itcan cause more damage. There are different procedures which are put into placeto deal with these kinds of problems such as, changing the piece of equipmentwhich is causing the problem, and then another way to try and prevent theproblem is upgrade the piece of software or hardware which has caused it.Another way would be to stop all users and just attack the hacker or virus andthen stop it before it spreads anymore.
