- What is MD Link?
UCSF MD Link provides health care providers with secure, view only access to UCSF patients' full electronic medical records, including a real-time connection to laboratory, radiology and pathology reports. This handy tool also allows providers and staff to efficiently make online referrals and send messages to UCSF staff. Doctors can place orders for lab and radiology services and e-consults. MD Link users can receive real-time notifications of patient events such as results, admissions and ED visits.
- Will I be able to access my patient's results if I don't use MD Link to refer a patient?
Regardless of how you refer a patient to UCSF, you can use UCSF MD Link to access his or her results as long as you are linked to the patient in the UCSF MD Link system. Providers on a patient's care team are automatically granted access to their patients seen at UCSF.
